Below are the rules that apply to the competitions that appear on the site. In addition to these rules there may be special terms & conditions which are relevant to individual competitions, this will appear as a link on the relevant competition.

The competitions are organised by U Student Limited of First Floor Suite, Oakvale House, Thomas Lane, Burgh Road Industrial Estate, Carlisle, Cumbria, CA2 7ND  (“u-student.com”)

2. By entering a competition you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions then you may not enter the competition.

3. In order to enter the competitions you must have subscribed as a member to the u-student.com website and read and accepted the Terms and Conditions of Use of u-student.com. On registering with u-student.com and when entering any competition, you agree to receive information containing, but not limited to, market research and advertising from u-student.com via e-mail, SMS, telephone or postal.

4. You must ensure that the personal information you provide in the contact details is accurate and complete and that all entry or subscription details contain your correct name, address and other requested details. 5. You must read the instructions and guidance on how to play the game before you enter.

6. Each competition will run from 00:01 on the first day of every calendar month and close at 23:59 on the last day of each calendar month (“closing date”).

7. There is no restriction on the number of times you may enter a competition but there will be only one winner. The winner will be the entrant with the fastest time to complete the jigsaw by the closing date. There will be a league table of the top 20 times which all members can access. If two or more entrants have the same time the winner will be the entrant who attained the fastest time first.

8. The winner will be notified by e-mail or post at the address given in the registration details within 5 working days of the closing date of the competition. Any member may check the results of the competition by logging into u-student.com.

9.The winner of the competition must provide verification of their identification by sending U Student two out of three of the following:

• Certified copy of their passport
• 2 Utility bill’s displaying the winners address
• Certified copy of their driving licence

The prize will not be delivered until the above requirement has been complied with.

10. Upon receipt of the above information u-student.comwill pay the winner the prize money of £10.00 in Sterling into their nominated Paypal account.

11. All prizes must be claimed within 28 days of the Closing Date and any prizes remaining unclaimed after that date or which are, for whatever reason, unallocated remain the property of  u-student.com.

12. All prizes are personal to the person who won them and the benefit of them cannot be transferred to any other person without the prior written consent of u-student.com.

13. All winners consent to the publication and use of their names and/or photographs by u-student.com in the furtherance of its trade or business.

14. Prizes cannot be swapped, exchanged, varied or delayed.

15. Prizes will not be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of entrants, illegal or otherwise u-student.com reserve the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has:

• cheated ie by modifying the game code or accessing the leaderboard or by any means other than playing the game in accordance with the competition rules; or 
• breached any of these terms and conditions.

16. u-student.com reserve the right to cancel any competition for any reason, before, during or after the games have been played.

17. All decisions of u-student.com in respect of the competition will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

18. Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits u-student.com ’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation. u-student.com  makes no representations or warranties as to the quality or suitability of any of the prizes on offer. u-student.com shall not be liable for any loss suffered or sustained to person or property including but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission of u-student.com or its servants or agents in connection with the arrangement for supply or the supply of any goods by any person to the winner or in connection with any of the competitions promoted by u-student.com.

19. u-student.com reserve the right at all times to vary or amend these terms and conditions. 

If u-student.com do vary or amend these terms and conditions they will post any such variation or amendment on this web site.  You should therefore regularly visit these pages to review the then current terms and conditions.

20. You understand that online games and system specifications necessary to play those games may continuously evolve over time. Accordingly, u-student.com reserve the right to modify and/or increase the system specification necessary to play the online game at any time without notice.

21. u-student.com make no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to the content of the games.

22. u-student.com will not be liable to you for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure, traffic congestion or internet accessibility or availability including any injury or damage to the entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the competition. Specifically u-student.com do not warrant that this site, games and other elements herein will be uninterrupted or error free.

23. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable the remaining provisions of these terms and conditions will remain in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted by law

24. u-student.com and you do not intend that any of these terms and conditions will be enforceable by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by any person not a party to these terms and conditions.

25. These terms and conditions and all maters arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
