Kenny’s Music

Just off Union Street, Kenny’s Music is Aberdeen go-to shop for any musical instruments and accessories. If you love to play or want to start playing an instrument, why not pop into the shop and have a look around?  

Almondine

Fancy something sweet? Well, Almondine is a perfect place for a little treat, their fancy pastries are well-renowned in the city. This family-run business offers lots of delicious treats, but they are popular for their macarons and Afternoon Tea. Bellino  

This independent boutique specialising in ladies fashion and footwear is a great place to get your next statement piece. They have clothes from all around the world, and you can grab a real bargain in their sales. 

Parx Cafe 

Another fantastic cafe in Aberdeen Parx Cafe offers a range of delicious treats and drinks. They also have a gallery space where local artists can display their work and this changes every few months, so you could always take a pic and share the love. 

Annie Mo’s 

Annie Mo’s is one of those shops, where if you have a love for interior design, you’ll probably say ‘oooo’ and ‘ahhh’ to everything in there. This store may be on the pricey side, but there are a few bits which students can definitely afford. 

Peapod 

This second-hand shop is one with a difference. You’ll find the most amazing and quirky items here and for a bargain price too. It’s worth popping in every now and again as stock is always different. 

Macbeans 

Aberdeen’s longest-running independent coffee roasters and tea specialists. They stock a whole range of delicious teas and coffees from all over the world. For anyone serious about the hot stuff, MacBeans is the place to go.

Books and beans 

Great coffee, fresh food and quality books. This is the perfect place for a tasty snack, warm drink and time to sit and read a good book. They also sell a range of local produce, and it’s important to support local producers where we can. 

Esslemonts

Copper & Grey 

Although not in Aberdeen city centre, if you’re in Banchory, Copper & Grey is a must-visit, or if not you can order online. This gift shop sells a whole range of beautiful items, you’ll struggle not buying everything they stock. 

Juniper 

This super cute shop sells lots of great gifts, stationery, soap, cushions, pretty much anything you can think of. We recommend just visiting the shop and having a look around even if you don’t need anything, but you’ll probably end up buying something anyway. 

Foodstory 

Foodstory is the future of cafes. It’s more than coffee, delicious food and tasty bakes, the people at Foodstory have created a space where communities can come together through art, music, experiences and enjoyment. They have a zero-waste cafe, online recipes, yoga classes and Reggae radio, the list goes on and on. Visit this place once, and we can guarantee you’ll come back time and time again.
