The weekend Friday 22nd July – Sunday 24th July 2016 welcomes back the region’s largest free family event to Rocker beach and Seaburn, The Sunderland International Air Show.
With a full program of entertainment starting from about 4.30pm on the main stage on Friday – it all kicks off with tribute band The Rat Pack Boys performing swinging hits from the likes of Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole accompanied by the 17 piece Denmark Street Big Band.
In the air there are the RAF red arrows, the battle of Britain memorial flight, and Pyrotechnic Twister duo among many others performing flight displays for your entertainment.
On the ground there is a full family program with children’s activities, trampolines, small inflatables, zorbing, zip wire’s, mini tanks and storytelling as well as entertainment on the main stage.
Air show director Sue Stanhope says “This year’s Sunderland International air show is once again going to be the biggest and best free family event in the region. The full event program is still yet to be announced so look out for even more news in the coming weeks.”
