This time of year you find out who the chocoholics in life are, and those who are not so keen on the sweet stuff. Easter eggs pile up and the question is what do you do with all this chocolate? Well here are our favourite ways to use up the chocolate stash…….. if you’re lucky to have any left!
Chocolate cornflake cakes. These always take me back to my childhood when no party would be complete without a platter of chocolate cornflake cakes. Super easy to make, just melt the chocolate and stir in the cornflakes. Decorated with sprinkles on top – yum!
Another classic chocolate recipe is chocolate brownies. Soft chocolaty cakey gooey goodness. You can also add your favourite dried fruits to the mix (chocolate and cherries are my go to)
For a lighter option, chocolate cheesecake is a nice treat.
If you really want to impress, why not try to make chocolate cups for your deserts. Take a blown up balloon and some melted chocolate. Dip the balloon into the chocolate and leave to cool down. Pop the balloon when the chocolates solid and hey presto!
For an indulgent beverage make hot chocolate milk shakes. You can even add rum or brandy to give it a bit of a kick.
